A bit about us…
The IP3 IPSWICH GOOD NEIGHBOUR SCHEME has been set up for the community by the community. We are part of a wider Suffolk Network of Good Neighbour Schemes which are supported by Community Action Suffolk. We are looking to help people within the IP3 region of Ipswich who need support whether this be practically or just by being a listening ear.
The group was originally formed to help people during the Covid-19 outbreak, but we have seen a need that will be ongoing and an opportunity to build on the increased Community Spirit that the outbreak has brought to the fore.
The Good Neighbour scheme is important to the committee and to our volunteers who have signed up as it an opportunity to be able to help those who need an extra hand. One day that could be us in their position. It is also important to us in continuing the increase in community cohesion which started during the Covid pandemic and to grow that for the future.
We would love volunteers to get involved, as by playing their small part they can help making a big difference to someone’s lives.
People who need help should not be too proud to ask for it. We are here to help people when they need us and they should not be struggling alone!
